Montana Western Colt Challenge
Please join us for the opportunity to see University of Montana Western students competing with colts donated from top quarter horse breeders across the region.
The Montana Western Colt Challenge, held on April 6 starting at 9:00 am, will showcase students from the Sales Preparation Class riding their assigned colts. Students train the colts in multiple aspects of ranch work using natural horsemanship techniques.
This is a free event and everyone is welcome to come watch the students and their horses compete. The annual Montana Western Colt Challenge and Sale is a culmination of the efforts of the students and faculty in the Natural Horsemanship program each year.
