Montana Western Colt Preview and Sale
The Montana Western Colt Sale, held on April 7, begins with a preview starting at 10:00 am followed by the sale starting at 1:00 pm. Montana Western students train the colts in multiple aspects of ranch work using natural horsemanship techniques. The colts are donated from top quarter horse breeders across the region.
The annual Montana Western Colt Challenge and Sale is a culmination of the efforts of the students and faculty in the Natural Horsemanship program each year. All proceeds are reinvested in the program in order to provide scholarships to Natural Horsemanship majors at the University of Montana Western.
