Montana Author to Share Poetry

Jaeger’s book, “Earth-blood & Star-shine,” is a collection of praise poems submerged with humor and appreciation.

“The struggles and challenges we all experience and endure come off the page clear enough to hear, smell, and see. This collection adds up to model a way of living: don’t do it fancy, but look, sweat, smile, and dance,” Adam Davis, Executive Director of Oregon Humanities, said about Jaeger’s book.

Aside from reading personal works, Jaeger enjoys reciting from memory the poems of Robert Frost, Donald Hall, Richard Wilbur, and others.

Jaeger enjoys interacting with the audience at his readings and he wants those that attend to expect humor and serious reflection.

“Dances with Words” is produced by English Professor Alan Weltzien. The series, free and open to the public, provides the community with a unique opportunity to listen to writers reading their own works, including Montana Western student writers.

Each performance in the series takes place at The Cup, Montana Western’s coffeehouse located below the library on the UMW campus.

Featured authors’ books at “Dances with Words” are made available for purchase by The Bookstore and Deb Sporich.
