The University of Montana Western will be Celebrating 125 Years

The University of Montana Western has scheduled two special community events to celebrate Montana Western’s 125th Founders Day. The events are hosted by Montana Western Alumni and Friends and the University of Montana Western Foundation.

A 125th Founders Day Celebration and Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Social will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at 5:30 pm in the Main Hall first floor foyer for the community and audience of “Proof” and "Doubt"to enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and conversation before the show begins that night at 7:30 pm.

On Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at 11:30 am, a Founders Day Time Capsule Celebration will be held in the Main Hall first floor foyer. The celebration will also include a display of historical photographs and memorabilia showcasing the University’s history. The University will add items pertaining to the present day to a time capsule that will be buried in Legacy Plaza and opened on Montana Western’s 150th anniversary. Those in attendance will have their picture taken in front of Main Hall and have the opportunity to sign the scroll that will be placed in the capsule for future guests to see. Cake and beverages will be served after the ceremony.
