BULLDOG STADIUM PHASE II

We proudly opened Bulldog Stadium in the fall of 2024, but our vision isn’t complete. To fully realize this exciting new facility, we must finish the locker rooms and concessions, ensuring the building is ready for every game-day experience. We also plan to install stadium lights, opening the door for evening games and additional events that will enrich our campus and community life.

Your support will help create a vibrant hub that serves our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the entire Dillon and Southwestern Montana community. Together, we can make Bulldog Stadium a source of pride for generations to come.

Will you help us finish the vision?

Year 1 Impact

  • Montana Western hosted five regular season home games in Bulldog Stadium, plus two playoff games - the first time in university history a playoff game was played on campus.  The Bulldogs finished the season 10 -2 overall and 7-1 in conference play, winning the Frontier Conference title for the second consecutive year.
  • Ticket Sales soared from an average of $20,000 annually (over the previous 4 years) to $72,000 for the five regular season games and $42,482 for the two playoff games – totaling just over $114,000, a 400% + increase in the first year.
  • The UMW Bookstore saw merchandise sales jump an average of $9,000 per season (previous four years) to just over $40,000 in the 2024 season, a 300% + increase.
  • Montana Western partnered with local vendors in order to provide concessions and beverages, allowing UMW to earn a share of profits while also promoting local businesses and generating additional income for them.
  • Stadium attendance climbed from an average of 6,000 visitors annually to just over 10,000 – an additional 4,000 people visiting this region spending money in local restaurants, hotels and retail stores.
  • For the first time ever, UMW graduation was held outdoors in the stadium, accommodating every guest who wanted to attend without limiting tickets for graduates.

Montana Western has been fortunate to have some legendary coaches at the helm of the Bulldog Football program. We are grateful for the impact these coaches have had on so many young people. They are behind this project, not only because they understand the impact it will have on football, but because they know it will be a resource for Montana Western and the Greater Dillon community.
