The Ethel Taylor Picton Education Scholarship was established in memory and honor of Ethel by her daughter, Margaret A. Picton.

The scholarship will consist of (1) $2,000 award annually.

The selection criteria is as follows:

• A 3rd or 4th year student attending the University of Montana Western.
   
• Student majoring in elementary or secondary education with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Student who has chosen a career in teaching in an elementary or secondary school in Montana.
