Bio of Dick Hirschy
Dick was born Nov. 27, 1928, to Fred and Flora Hirschy, whose family homesteaded in the Big Hole Valley in 1894. He attended West Fox School in his youth but it was evident that ranching was his passion and he maintained an active role in managing the ranch in spite of his illness. Dick passed away on Aug. 9, 2003 at the age of 74. "Let it be said that if a person lives on in the hearts and memories of others, Dick Hirschy shall never fade from this earth."
