Ron Fick

Ron, a 5th generation Californian, moved to Dillon on a permanent basis in 2002.  Prior to his retirement in that year he was president and CEO of Borel Private Bank, a bank founded by Ron, his brother, cousin and others in 1980.  The bank was sold in 2002 to Boston Private Financial Holdings.  Ron is an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was one of the founders of the Dillon chapter of Pheasants Forever and currently serves on the board of the Big Hole River Foundation.  He also serves on the board of the Beaverhead County Museum Association. A historian by training he is the author of “San Francisco is No More” a book on the earthquake of 1906, and various historical articles.  His interest in education goes back to the time in California when he was elected to and served as president of the San Mateo Elementary School District Board of Education.  He also served on the board of the San Mateo Community College Foundation.  Ron is a strong supporter of Western’s athletic program and the Universities educational efforts in our community.
